Paramore Concert

If you know me, or have talked to me for any length of time, you hav e had to hear how much I LOVE Paramore!  In the spring I seen that they would be on tour, so Tiffany and I quickly started searching for concert dates that would work for our busy schedules.  Unfortunately none of the shows were close and our over protective hubby's would not let us drive all the way to UVA for a concert.  We were not happy!  But in June Jeremy redeemed himself.  He found out Paramore was the headliner for the Honda Civic Tour this summer and they were kicking off the tour in the new amphitheatre in downtown Raleigh.  So as a birthday present for me he gave the okay for the concert.  I felt a little guilty because the concert was July 23, the same day as our anniversary but we decided we would celebrate on the the next day.  Not long after my birthday we got the news that Jeremy was going to have to have surgery on his shoulder, and of course it was scheduled for July 22, the day before the concert!!  Needless to say I was crushed.  There was no way I was going to leave him, with four kids, the day after surgery to go to a concert!!  But!!  But, my awesome MIL said she would come down and stay with us the week of surgery, which meant I got to go!!

So, on July 23, Tiffany and me we Raleigh bound for the Paramore concert.  Our journey for the concert quickly became something out of Nick and Nora's Infinite Play List, as we went to three different venues before finding the right one.  It ended up being right in the heart of downtown Raleigh, with the train in the background of the stage.  we got there a little late and missed Kadawatha, and most of New Found Glory but we really didn't mind. When we finally got there we found out seats and then decided to go to the merch stand to get our Tshirts.  Little did we know that we would be standing i n line 2 hours to get a shirt!!!  At least we got to hear a new to us band, Tegan & Sara, while we were waiting in line.  We got back to our seats just in time. We had about 5 minutes to rest before Paramore came on stage.  After waiting in line for so long and the fact that it was in the high 90's with 96% humidity we needed the break!!  They opened up with one of my favorite Paramore songs, Misery Business, and the place went crazy!!!  Every one in the entire crowd sang along with them.  It was by far the best concert that I have ever seen!!  At one point the brought a couch out on stage and did an acoustic set.  It was amazing!!  I personally can't pick when it comes to my favorite memory of the concert.  Is it when she jumped on an amp and held the mic for us while we chanted "We Were Born For This"?  Or was it during the encore when the clouds of confetti poured down on us while singing along to Brick By Boring Brick?  I don't think I will ever be able to choose but I do know it was an amazing night shared with my best friend, and who could ask for more than that!!  Hope you enjoy the pics from the concert, and check out the links to our favorite songs!!
